Well another day on the river Wye for Jake and Tim

This is the 4th time I’ve guided Tim and Jake and the second time on the river Wye.

The river had dropped by another 8″ since I had fished on Sunday. The colour had gone too. I’m not too worried about that. The temperatures though had dropped to 14c during the day and 6c at night so the temperature of the river plummeted. I’m not one for measuring the temp but it certainly felt lower.

However you just need to get on with it.

We fished from 8am to 8 pm and caught some great fish, no really big ones but still pretty good considering the conditions. Its the first time this season I kept two layers on all day.

7 barbel and 3 chub was the final result for the day. Difficult conditions however no blanks.

I will let the photo’s and video tell the story.
