Tench Fishers teach-in at Summer Pit with Farnham AS

I’m not going to start to explain the reasons behind holding a Tench Fishers teach-in on the summer pit at Yateley in conjunction with Farnham Angling Society.

The main reason was down to Bazz trying to sort out a venue for the Tench Fishers to fish and it all began to take shape with Ian Gray Tony King and myself doing the ground work.

The weekend was fixed for early July where 12 people would be invited to join Chris, Bazz, Frappers Tony and myself to learn about fishing for tench. Now I’m not going into too much detail other than say it was a wonderful event that lasted for about 24hrs.

For Tony and myself we had planned and worked on the project for much longer. I reckon on 5 days  for me.

To cut a long story short it’s best said in Photo’s and video.

I must say Jamie Smith who took the video footage and then edited it produced a very good end product and one us Tench fishers are very proud of. Thanks a  MILLION Jamie. Smart work!!

Lets look at the video first to put it into context.

Then there were some stunning photo’s from the teach-in. With Frapper and Tony doing an excellent performance in rig tying and showing how they work in a tank.
Chris and I helped out where possible and Bazz did the float fishing part of the fish-in.

The attendees thought the session was good. One point made was to make a list of bits and bobs to bring along so rigs can be tied.

So a great effort by everyone and one that I hope is repeated next year.
Happy days.
