Literally so much water has passed under the bridge

Believe it or not I have been fishing however not with any great enthusiasm as the rivers have been high even the K&A canal has been in full flow like a river. I have caught a few perch drop shot fishing but nothing too large.

I have now written off the H.Avon for the season. Everytime the Stour drops down along comes more rain and up it comes again.

I did have a session with a mate Steve it was to last a few hours. The river was still high with some colour but still fishable for chub. We fished several slacks and nice paced runs with a few being caught.

I put Steve in a banker swim where he caught a nice 3lbs 6oz chub on cheese paste.

3lbs 6oz

3lbs 6oz

We fished a few more swims for nothing else. Steve returned to the banker swim and caught one more chub.

There should be a chub there

I managed one from a real washing machine swim as Steve called it.

We moved back upstream and I caught one more small chub on cheese paste. That was about it for the day.

Pretty poor return really.
